Library
    RIT has a well-established library with close to 11,000 books spread over 1900 titles. RIT library constantly updates itself with those books that cover the latest technological advancements. RIT Library is subscribing to about 75 National and 36 International Journals, which include 33 IEEE Journals. Most of the journals are in the field of Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The process of issue and receipt of books is being fully computerized.
Book Bank: A Book Bank facility is also started with around 2000 volumes to cater to the needs of students who have inadequate means. A student can become its member if he/she fulfills the required conditions. Under Book bank, text books are issued to students on payment of 20% of the cost of the book for the use of one full semester. Book Bank is extremely helpful and a significant number of students are utilizing this facility.

Library Rules:
· Members while entering the Library shall keep their personal belongings in the appropriate place earmarked in the Library. Only loose sheets are to be taken in.
· All the students are instructed to put their signatures in the register kept at the entrance of the Library.
· Each student is permitted to borrow only two books at a time from the Library on surrendering the Library tickets issued to them. The books are lent for a max. period of 14 days from the data of borrowing.
· Strict silence should be observed in the Library.
· Books may be renewed for a further period of another 7 days and renewal will be permitted, if no other student has already resered for these boooks. More than two consecutive renewals will not be allowed.
· Books borrowed on loan must be returned on the due data. For failure to return on the due date, fine will be levied as follows:
For first day                     :    Rs. 5
From second day onwards   :   Rs. 1 per day
· Library books must be returned when students going home on long vacation or at the end of the semester.
· A student who has lost a ticket, may make a written request to the principal for a duplicate ticket. Such tickets will be issued on payment of Rs. 30 for each ticket.
· Magazines and journals are ordinarily not lent out. After perusal they must be kept in the respective places.
· If library book is damaged or missed, the student who is responsible, has to replace the book with fine. If the replacement is not possible, double the cost of the book will be collected from the concerned person.
