Language Laboratory

Thus focus on effective communication gained importance in pedagogical activity. In support of this a language laboratory has therefore been set up to enable the students to learn the language thoroughly. The lab is provided with all the basic amenities with separate eco free instructor’s cabin and students’ booth. It is equipped with teacher’s console, headphones and CDs. The students will be taught mainly the pronunciation, articulation and accentuation patterns, tones in connected speech and sentence formation and framing questions. They will listen to the prerecorded cassettes with the help of Walkman understand, imitate and speak. This process helps to improve the phonetic language and speech and also helps the students to improve their oral and written skills of the English Language and score well in GRE, TOEFL, and GMAT etc. This lab richly benefits the students who aspire to go abroad for further studies with good proficiency in spoken English.
The fundamental knowledge of Physical and Chemical principles is essential for an Engineer to be equipped with, before he reaches his specialization. Therefore, some relevant topics from Physics, Chemistry, Environmental and Material Sciences, which find applications in Industrial Engineering, are taught during first year course, which is common to all Engineering branches/subjects.
