Computing Facility
The departments of CSE & IT are having sophisticated computing facility with well-equipped computer labs. The departments have ten laboratories with a total of 450 systems which are connected with centralized servers, IBM226 XEON (1 No.), IBM225 XEON (2 No.), IBM 220 (1 No.), Novell Server and Sun Solaris server. Each lab is having LAN connectivity with all the servers, connected with high-speed switches. All the labs are having On-line UPS backup facility. Internet facility is provided by BSNL with a bandwidth of 1 Mbps. This facility is available in all the labs. A high end Linux firewall is provided to protect local network from virus effect. The servers are protected with Norton Antivirus, which automatically protects the LAN systems in all the labs.
Data Structures lab is equipped with IBM P-IV systems with Boot ROM facility, which are capable of remote booting from the Servers.
Computer Center is the best ideal place for the Internet because it is having the VXL thin clients, which provides Multi-Desktops such as Linux desktop for Internet facility, win2000 desktop and sun Solaris Desktop for all other laboratory works.
DBMS lab is equipped with high-speed P-IV Compaq systems, which takes care of the requirements of the students.
The Network lab is having P-IV Intel original motherboards. It also has a provision for the high-speed multimedia lab since most of the systems are having high-end RAM capacity.
Two Project Labs are established with Internet facility exclusively for CSE & IT departments and is also useful for the final year students of all the other branches.
The Hardware and Trouble Shooting lab is equipped with highly sophisticated equipment such as fiber optic kit, cellular Trainer kit, Lan trainer, printer trainer, fault simulator, debugging cards and ISDN simulator to train up the students in all hardware related, networking Problems.
The Modern Data Communication Lab is equipped with ISDN, optical fiber communication, and cell phone tool kits. Microprocessor Lab equipped with 24 Channel Logic analyzer, 100 MHz digital storage oscilloscope, EPROM programmer, special diagnostic computer, IC Tester and in-circuit Emulator. Digital Lab equipped with trainer kits.
A Computer Lab for EEE, ECE and EIE is provided with specialized software like E-TAP, MATLAB and P-SPICE.
A computer lab is established with IBM P-IV 3.0 GHZ speed systems for proposed MCA/MBA courses and are equipped with Combo drives.
All the Laboratories are equipped with TVS, WIPRO dot matrix printers. They are mainly used by the students to submit their lab records/projects. The computing facility is extended for all the administrative staff. The entire campus is connected by high-speed local area network.
